The Tie That Binds: US Air Forces in Europe airmen have been training with Romania and Bosnia in recent weeks. Just last week, an aircrew from the 37th Airlift Squadron at Ramstein AB, Germany, flew their C-130 for US and Bosnian military members to practice high altitude-low opening airdrops. US Ambassador Douglas McElhaney was one of the observers and called the effort "outstanding." And some 20 airmen from the 86th Contingency Response Group at Ramstein helped the 37th AS and Army and Navy elements during exercises in Romania. Ramstein dispatched a total of about 130 airmen, two C-130s, and several C-21s to conduct training during Carpathian Summer 2007 exercise, organized by the 86th Airlift Wing.
