Retired Mustang Goodall Dies: Retired Air Force Lt. Gen. Harry Goodall was killed Sept. 2 when the twin-engine aircraft he was piloting crashed after he tried to return to the small field in Waco, Tex., he had just left. Goodall, who was 73, was the only one on board. He entered the service in 1949, serving eight years in the enlisted corps before receiving a commission in 1957 and earning his wings in 1959. Goodall flew 200 combat missions in Southeast Asia and served in various Air Force command, Joint Staff, and NATO assignments before retiring in 1991 as commander of Allied Air Forces Southern Europe.
