After Katrina, a Better School: If student attendance numbers are any indicator, then the International Military Student Office and its security assistance training program at Keesler AFB, Miss., has more than fully recovered from the ravages of Hurricane Katrina one year ago. James Cooks, chief of the IMSO, noted that the school is back in full swing and recently trained its 101st foreign military student. "We are currently training more students than we had pre-Katrina," Cooks said. The school has a current student body of 50 scholars from 22 countries, ranging from noncommissioned officers to colonels. It can accommodate as many as 120.
