ISG Interviews Whitehouse: Members of the Congressionally chartered Iraq Study Group continued their assessment of the war in Iraq Monday when they met with President George Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney, National Security Advisor Stephen Hadley, and Whitehouse Chief of Staff Josh Braden reportedly to gather Administration views. The group planned to talk with other Administration officials Monday and talk with British Prime Minister Tony Blair via teleconference Tuesday. ISG co-chairmen James Baker and Lee Hamilton have pledged to provide a final report to the Administration and Congress next month. The group already has replaced Robert Gates, newly nominated to be Defense Secretary, with former Secretary of State Lawrence Eagleburger.
