Speaking of Guns: The Air Force has one military gunsmith left—Air National Guard MSgt. Daniel Norwood—reports Air Force journalist SSgt. Jeremy Larlee. Norwood, who serves as shop supervisor of the Air and Army National Guard marksmanship unit at Camp Robinson, Ark., has worked as a military gunsmith since 1991, creating and repairing rifles and pistols for Guard competitive firing teams and sniper school. The Air Force does have a gunsmith shop, which is located at Lackland AFB, Tex., but whose ownership transferred earlier this year from Air Education and Training Command to the Warner Robins Air Logistics Center.
