USAF C-130 Crew Aids Baby Evacuation: US Central Command Air Forces officials say that a US Air Force C-130 helped transport a child born with spina bifida and her father and grandmother on their journey to the US for treatment for the baby, which Iraqi doctors said had only one month to live. The Elmendorf AFB, Alaska, C-130 crew was slated for a rest day, but they flew the Iraqis to a civilian airport in Kuwait, from where they were to fly on to the US. The entire enterprise, say CENTAF, was orchestrated by members of the Georgia National Guard.
