With Full Honors: An Air Force honor guard and band members paid tribute to World War II bomber pilot and career officer, Maj. Gen. Jack I. Posner, during his burial at Arlington National Cemetery Aug. 11. Posner, who was 83 when he died July 14, received his Army Air Forces wings in June 1944 and flew 18 combat missions with the 92nd Bombardment Group in England. The Air Force recalled him to active duty from the Reserves in 1950 during the Korean War. He served in a variety of staff and personnel jobs, retiring in March 1978.
