Training Crash Critically Injures Officer, Kills Civilian: Air Education and Training Command confirmed last Friday that 2nd Lt. Taryn Robinson, assigned to the Air Intelligence Agency’s 346th Test Squadron, Lackland AFB, Tex., was critically injured in an airplane crash southeast of San Antonio on Sept. 21. She was flying with a flight instructor from a civilian flying school that runs an Air Force Introductory Flight Training program. The civilian instructor was killed in the crash. An AirLife helicopter transported Robinson to Brooke Army Medical Center, Ft. Sam Houston, where she remains in critical condition. The National Transportation Safety Board has begun an investigation. A team of Air Force officers will also investigate the incident.
