Bagram Continues Makeover: The RED HORSE airmen at Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan are moving from airfield ramp expansion to building a new passenger terminal at the key Operation Enduring Freedom facility. The airmen—24 from Nellis AFB, Nev.—expect to finish the 7,750 square foot, $932,000 terminal in early 2006. During an average month, some 8,000 passengers flow through Bagram. The new facility will be more secure, said officials, and enhance the “potential flow of more than 300 people traveling through Afghanistan’s busiest hub at any one time,” said 1st Lt. Megan Leitch, the construction project officer.
